Today, siobahn asked me to write down her doctor's log, and together, here's a log of the animal patients treated by "Dr. S.Y." ....
"This baby panda was attacked by a big bear. I checked him out right when I arrived at the hospital."
"Here I was examining one of the three frogs who bumped into the tree. I gave them a shot in the nose." Dr. S.Y.
"Here I am examining one of the horses with a 'jumping issue.'" Dr. S.Y.
"This toad came in as an emergency. He had an eye infection so I gave him some medicene." Dr. S.Y.
"The draft horse came in as an emerency late in the day. He woke up and he was dizzy. I first gave his ears a shot and then I gave his head a shot." Dr. S.Y.
"Here I am with most of the patients I treated today. Everyone is doing great!" Dr. S.Y.
The following is the complete transcript of the "log" of Dr. S.Y. for the patients she treated today.

3 frogs are in the hospital; "when they were bouncing on lily pads, they closed their eyes, and they accidentally bounced into a tree and got their noses tweaked."
examined frogs and gave special nose shots to stop their pain.
6 bears by the main entrance, have lost their 'roar'.
** chinese siamese bear, got separated from his mom. put him in the nursery until mother arrives.
** fuzzy brown bear, named 'streaky'. fell into a big hole and fell on his head and tweaked his ear. doctor untweaked his ear and placed in nursery to be picked up.
** fuzzy wuzzy bear. he got locked up in a big cave. he was very scared. removed bear and fed him. now in nursery waiting for his mama to pick him up.
**wrinkley bear. patient went to the bear-a-theater, and it was really loud and he was trying to roar to his mommy to turn it down, but he lost his voice because he roared so loud and he couldn't do it anymore. gave patient food and water and put him in the special room to recover.
**twin bears, the 'bongo brothers.' the lost their roar because they were playing bongos and singing as loud as they could so everyone would hear them because they did not have any microphones. sat in special room for a little while then moved to nursery waiting for parent to pick up.
5 horses next door to the three frogs, with jumping issues.
** unicorn. while jumping, her horn turned someone into a giant snake, which scared her. suggested that while jumping, unicorn pulls horn back. call if problem persists. free to go home.
**silver star ... while jumping silver star's braids get in her eyes. suggest pulling hair back while jumping. call if problem persists. free to go home.
** blackie jack ... he crosses hind legs mid-jump, causing him to fall on landing. rear right leg seems to be limping. suggest using a brace to keep leg straight while jumping until leg is stronger and straighter. come back in 10 days for follow-up evaluation. released to go home.
** black nose ... he has tickling hoof ornaments that distract him while jumping. suggest flipping them up while jumping so they do not tickle his hooves. otherwise, practice, practice, practice and get used to tickling sensation. wait in nursery for parent to pick up.
** patch ... her legs curl while jumping and she trips on obstacle. suggest wrapping legs to stay straight and see if that helps. wait in nursery with black nose for parent to pick up.
3 rabbits with ear infections.
** carol ... gave her a red 'silence' shot and put in recovery.
** bonanza ... gave her a black 'silence' shot and put in recovery.
** easter ... gave her a blue "silence' shot and put in recovery.
1 dog that cannot bark.
** the patient was playing fetch with another dog. the ball was thrown at the patient when it got lodged in her throat. i removed the ball, and sent the patient for observation before release.
1 duck that was bit by an anaconda snake.
** the bite was not deep, stitches needed.
1 baby panda bear that was attacked by a big bear.
** injuries on left hind quarter, right front paw and lower neck. not serious. very hungry & thirsty.
1 snake that cannot slither.
** worked on his head and readjusted his body. gave snake a shot in mid-body area to loosen body up. sent to recovery. upon release, two weeks of physical therapy.
daily emergency ... hummingbird with a bent beak. immediately used rings to set the beak and put patient in special room to recover.
draft horse woke up dizzy. name is curly-q. examined thoroughly, and found something in his ear. doctor went into immediate surgery to remove object. doctor gave a shot to both ears just in case there was another object in his ears. doctor then gave patient's head a special shot to stop dizziness.
toad ... name, kermit. admitted with eye issues. examined eyes, and found an infection. there was some kind of oil in his eye. so prescribed medication to make his eyes glossy and prescribed an eye wash for him. sent to recovery.
